Frequently Asked Questions?
1. What are some physical conditions associated with anxiety?
Adrenal gland stress/fatigue, neurotransmitter imbalances, blood sugar dysregulation, hormonal imbalance, food sensitivities, toxicity, thyroid imbalance, and pyroluria are associated with symptoms of anxiety.
2. Are natural therapies safe?
In general, natural therapies have few side effects. They are very effective when used correctly in the right forms and dosages, but they do have the potential to interact with other medications. It is important to consult with a natural medicine specialist who can guide you towards the appropriate treatment options. As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, I am trained to understand these concerns.

Health Tip:
Shallow breathing causes many different anxiety symptoms like dizziness, tingling in the extremities, and spaciness. In order to rebalance the exchange between oxygen and carbon dioxide, you need to learn to breathe through your diaphragm. This is the natural, calming way we are meant to breathe.
3.Is it helpful to test for neurotransmitter imbalances?
Yes, in my clinical and personal experience, I have found it very valuable. Although it is not used to diagnose any condition, it is a highly effective way to find imbalances that may guide treatment protocols.
4. Besides testing for neurotransmitters, what other tests do you recommend?
Each person's case is different. After filling out the client intake form and having our first visit, I can decide which test, if any, might be right for you. I might recommend heavy metal analysis, female hormone testing, adrenal hormone testing, digestive function analysis, thyroid hormone testing, or food sensitivity or allergy panels.
5. Why are you focused on helping people with anxiety?
I used my medical training to my benefit when I began experiencing the devastating symptoms of anxiety. I needed to find answers in order to heal myself. Healing from anxiety is a process. I found what works for me and I found numerous ways to help others. My anxiety was my gift because I was able to learn about myself and, in the process, find answers for others.
6. I have been suffering for a long time, is there hope for me?
Absolutely. You have not found your imbalance, yet. Your body is telling you something that you have not figured out, yet. No one is a lost hope.
7. What if I don't have panic attacks or lots of physical symptoms? I just feel nervous and tense more than I would like to.
This is the perfect time to catch your anxiety before it gets out of hand. Now is the time to support your nervous system with proper nutrients and calming botanicals.
